For immediate release: After spending years in the underground Hip Hop scene the rap duo of Angervillehave risen from the depths of obscurity triumphantly with the release of their first studio album Uprising. The album was recorded at The Kilzone in Toronto, under the watchful eye and tentative ears of Fresh Kils. The album is a giant leap for the group creatively and also from a technical perspective. Older releases such as Rebellion and Blood, Sweat and Tears showcased the groups passion for music but did not use the state of the art equipment and recording techniques that were utilized on their latest album. Uprising is a pounding, verbose sonata that hits hard, grabbing the listener vigorously and does not let go until the final moment.
Through touring coast to coast in Canada Angerville has been able to connect with many talented artists. The Uprising album showcases a wide variety of Canadian Musicians such as: Vancouver MC extraordinaire Snak The ripper, Halifax's Chad Hatcher, Oshawa's Peter Jackson, Kitchener Waterloo's Sharky, Toronto's Alex Dimez and Barrie MC Revelation from the group First Kings. Production on the album features Montreal's Duo Tang and City Parks, Ottawa's Prophet One, Hamilton's J True, London's Rugged One, St. Catharine's Jeanyus, Bolton's Westnyle, Halifax's Derek4Real and Toronto's Fresh Kils and Juno award winning producer Scarcelli. All Scratches were done by Halifax Turntablist Uncle Fester except for track 15 which was done by Toronto's DJ Law.
